MOJO91 - Challenge

Very late in getting my post up for this week. This is the Father's Day card I made for my hubby. I really liked how it turned out; although I wasn't sure about the sketch when I first checked it out last Monday. The DP is Cosmo Cricket is Gretel:Hansel (picked this up at the store I visited in Hilton Head). The metal emblishment and ribbons are from the May Kit from Taylored Expressions. I signed up for Taylor's kits for three months and have loved everyone of them! What could be more fun than receiving a mystery box each month filled with everything I need to make some beautiful cards??
My mind does wander, but back to the card. I ran some SU Very Vanilla through my BigKick using a Swirl Template. That is what I attached to the top 1/3 of my base. Added a piece of Chocolate Satin ribbon to the bottom of the panel. Then layered the DP and my stamped image, which I sponged and framed with SU Chocolate Chip Ink and Paper. The stamped image was attached to the frame using dimensionals to give the card some depth. I used my SU Scalloped Oval Punch for my sentiment base, while the sentiment itself was stamped on SU Very Vanilla and punched with my SU Word Window punch. I attached the two with a metal brad and clip from Taylored Expressions May Kit and added a small piece of vanilla twill ribbon to finish it off.
Card Recipe:
Paper - Card Base and DP from Taylored Expressions, SU Very Vanilla
Stamps - SU Sketch an Event, Happy Father's Day from Michaels
Emblishments - Brown Ribbon & Vanilla Twill from Taylored Expressions, Metal from Taylored Expressions
Tools - SU Scalloped Oval Punch, SU Word Window Punch, SU sponge, BigKick & Swirl Template
Ink - SU Chocolate Chip
Misc. - SU Dimensionals

MOJO Challenge

I'm posting my MoJo Monday card on Wednesday again. My goal is to complete this challenge earlier in the week. I had a great time making this card using some DP and Embellishments that I purchased from Remember When, a scrapbook store I discovered on Hilton Head Island, when we vacationed there a couple weeks ago. (Was it really only that long ago??)

For this challenge I used SU's Wild Wasabi for the base of my card and added in some SU Sky Blue. The DP is Abbey Road Sky from BoBunny. I couldn't pass up the adorable coordinating brads that went with this paper. The card was finished off with a band of SU Sky Blue Double-Stitch ribbon and the stamp is from SU's It's Time to Bloom! Hope you like!!

My First MOJO Challenge

Hello! This is my first MOJO Challenge and my first attempt at photographing and posting a card. (I'm far from a great photographer.) I've been a stamper for more than five years and just recently discovered all the wonderful stamping blogs and challenges on the internet. My card today was made using items from Taylored Expressions May Kit and my "Elegant Thank You" stamp, scallop circle punch and dimensionals from Stampin' Up. That's it!! Let me know what you think of my first attempt???

Embracing Technology

Home from work today due to a winter storm and got a wild hair to start a blog. Not sure where I'll go with it from here; although in the back of my mind I am thinking about using it to post some of the cards I make. Who knew there were others out there who love making cards and sharing their ideas on their blogs. I'll also be able to post some pics of my wonderful, adorable family here too! Will just have to wait and see what else evolves. I'd love to hear from my wonderful friends, too!
